Question by nelizhart: About 7 months ago, I had ACL reconstructive surgery, and i’m wondering why my knee is recently giving out?
I’m 15 years old and injured my knee playing basketball. My knee has been pretty much alright, but now is giving out and locking a lot. The locking is extremely painful and leaves me sore for hours. I’m thinking I may have done something while playing Powder Puff Football because it locked for the first time that night. The doctors said that I had a partially torn Miniscus, but they figured it would be fine and didn’t bother repairing it during surgery because the tear was so slight. Any advice?

Sounds like it could be an effect of your ligaments healing. Make sure your getting allot of stretching on that knee. Pay attention and make sure it is not getting inflamed or warm. If the problem persist you may need to get some therapy done. See a doctor if problem does not get better.
