I went to see my dermatologist along with Manang to have my skin rashes checked in the Manila Doctors Hospital where my brother Michael was working. I finally gave up after several self-medication treatments which did not improve my skin rashes condition so I just had to see my dermatologist. This is just a video of my visit. Question by Summer 2010 ♥: What to expect when visiting the dermatologist for the first time?
I am going to the dermatologist sometime in 2 weeks (can’t remember the exact date) I have some existing acne, it has gotten better over the past year it used to be much worse, but now I have A LOT of acne scars and just a little bit of acne, What can I expect the dermatologist to do? Will her prescribe me medication, also How will he treat my acne scars? (Sorry about all the questions I am just super nervous,anxious,excited about going to the dermatologist) Thanks :]

Answer by Bara. I am going to go to a dermatologist soon but many of my flawless friends have gone to dermatologists. Infact we were just talking about it today what I will expect. As soon as you get into the waiting room you are going to fill a form that you have used on your skin, and you mark if you have allergies and such. It’s just a form that the dermatologist will observe to see products you have used and the condition you have today. Once you go into the room to actually tal to a dermatologist, they will greet you and they will ask you why you have came and what they can do to help you. You will then tell them your condition and they will let you hold a mirror to your face to let you show them the problems. Once you are done explaining your skin problems they will ask you many questions about what you eat, and what products you use, and they will mostly ask about your period cycle (that is if you are a chick.) Afterwards they will most probably give you some procedure ideas to help you get the results you want with no acne scars.
It depends how bad the scars are. If they are really bad they are going to consider laser treatments. if not, they will give you some lightening cream to even tone your skin and to let those scars fade. Remember once you start using some always apply sunscreen afterwards.
Dermatologists are there to help you get beautiful skin and to feel beautiful. They are not against you so no need to feel anxious or nervous. I bet you there are others that have it worse than you!
