Question by Jordan V: how long does a typical rosacea outbreak last for ?
i have minor rosacea not bad enough to be on medication . but sometimes it will get worse like it is right now and it becomes very itchy and stings a little. it rarely gets to the point of itching but when it does it eventually goes away i just cant remember how long this usually takes for it to stop itching . should i apply moisturizer will that help ?

Hummm – itching should stop within 12 to 16 hours… then the area has to withdraw the fluid in the tissue… 2 or 3 days for that. Nothing ever seems to help – cool damp cloth.
Can you get a little Prednisone? Take it at the first sign of the outbreak?
You might try Witch Hazel – wet a cloth or paper towel and pat it on the area.
