Question by Jen: Does anyone know how to prevent canker sores?
I get a mouthful of canker sores every month, it seems. My whole face swells. Doctors say cold sores, give the valtrex, lidocaine, and the magic mouthrinse. Doesn’t help. Dentist says canker sores. Either way they both say the cause is stress. How do I stop being stressed? If that is it. I also have changed toothpaste to one without the SLS.

check the causes of canker sores on the net. i believe they are caused when you have you have too much salt. but i could be wrong. find out whant you need to eliminate from you lifestyle. whether it be stress or salt

Older brother has rosacea. I’m showing symptoms. Any creams or lotions that will help and actually show results? Also get burning sensation. I’m trying to avoid laser treatment and I’m 35. Any advice would be helpful.

Eucerin makes a lotion with a natural ingredient to lessen redness. One thing to avoid is harsh cleansers and microdermabrasion as these can exacerbate the redness.

Do you have this problem with your siberian husky or know anyone with a siberian husky that has skin problems?

or is this very rare for the siberian husky breed and most don’t have those problems like they are known for eye and hip problem.

I was just researching the common health problems that a siberian husky has. I want to be educated about the common natural health problems that are most reported and you should beaware of when you buy a puppy from a siberian husky breeder .
Should the breeder show you the health history’s for the last 4 generations to prove their dogs are a High class health Quality dog.

Its not terribly common among well bred dogs, nor is it a critical life threatening disease.

Most crucial are making sure Hips and Elbows have been certified free of dysplasia. You should be able to look up the dog’s parents certification on OFA (www.offa.org) if they are in the US. Also you’ll want to see a current (within a year) CERF certification.

You should get, at minimum a 5 generation pedigree. All dogs in that pedigree should have hip scores.

If this is your first dog, do a LOT of research. Siberian Huskies are fantastic dogs, but are not necessarily great dogs for a first time owner.

Talk at great length to the breeder. If you find the breeder intolerant of being asked questions, go elsewhere!!! A good breeder wants to sell their puppies to well-educated homes.

DOGS GRASS ALLERGY; What are the treatment options for Malassezia dermatitis for dogs?

This dog has Contact Dermatitis from grass allergy. It is painful and itchy. Other body parts can be affected, ears, tummy, any part that comes into contact with the grass, or whatever allergen is causing it. If this is not treated the dog will chew at it till it bleeds leaving it open to infection. I am not a vet, I followed the treatment plan given to me by my vet. Some immediate relief can be given to the dog by bathing in Aloveen Oatmeal Shampoo, towel drying and applying Aloveen Oatmeal Intensive Conditioner, and massaging extra conditioner onto the affected parts. Don’t let the dog have any contact with grass for at least a week after this bath, if it gets out and gets exposure, no matter how brief, wash the dogs paws in the same products immediately. The next video will show the rash 3 days after exposure was elimated. DISCLAIMER: Please contact your vet for advice on what products to use on your dog. I am not endorsing or advocating the use of the products I have named. This is what I used and it worked but I’m sure there are many other products that work. The main thing is not to use anything strong that may cause further irritation.

I know that topical chlorhexidine and miconazole (Malaseb and VetXX) may be used. Could you please let me know regarding your experience with these medications? Do you have any other ideas or experience that have helped you with curing this yeast infection?

Hi, Im Trisha and im on my aunt’s account.
Im 13 and I have been diagnosed with Eczema.
As you probably know, my aunt is a doctor for 8+ years.
But, She is at work, and i haven’t had a chance to ask her what it is…and how to make it go away. Is it even eczema..how can I tell.
I havent seen her, and i was not diagnosed by her…it was at the same place she works…different dr.

My white husky began losing her hair 1 week after treatment. My vet suggested “Benedril” 3 times/day. Hair continues to shed and there are many raw spots. Vet said it was allergic reaction to heat, which has been humid 90% and 80 degrees.

bad reaction to the heart worm preventative happens:it is mainly dogs that are part collie, or border collie, sheltie.
Are you sure your dog is pure husky?
If not sure, there are other meds that are considered safe for collies or collie crosses(and sheltie, border collie)
Other possibility:something else out there causing poor dog to have a bad reaction?
Give the dog Benadryl:I take it, when i have a reaction to some mosquito bites.
Go to a different vet, if the hair is still falling out:is it on the face?could be something called demodex.

Aside from the obvious of eating healthy and avoiding junk food, consider taking vitamin B and baking soda scrubs. I also put a bit of salus spray on baking soda and it works remarkably well. Try it. I get the spray from ebay and it lasts forever if refrigerated.
