Question by ѕкує вℓυє αкα ανα’ѕ мσмму: What can I do about my daughters sensitive skin and eczema?
My daughter (19 months) has eczema and VERY sensitive skin. It is much worse in the winter time but now its getting really, really bad. I use Cetaphil (which was the only thing that worked-and worked well!) but now its like its losing its effect. She has scratch marks and welts in different spots from itching. Parts of her skin like her belly, back, and legs feel like snake skin. I don’t know what else to use on her.

I just saw a special on the news about doctors prescribing bleach baths for kids with eczema. In addition to prescribed creams (take her to a pediatric dermatologist). You mix 1/4 c regular clorox into the bath water and it is supposed to really help. It takes a few weeks to a month to start seeing a difference. They had kids saying it really helped them, and they showed before and after pics, and it seemed convincing. They said the bleach in that small amount won’t hurt them if they swallow a bit of the water, and it won’t hurt their eyes since it’s only 1/4 c. in a tub of water.

Oh, and my doctor says cetaphyl is one of the worst things you can put on your skin because it has a lot of chemicals that actually irritate skin–even the sensative cetaphyl. I was using it, too, until he told me to stop.

EDIT: I’m just reporting what was on the news last week. People who didn’t see it shouldn’t comment. Ask your doctor about it, and let him know that there was a study done on it at tNorthwestern. Do your research before putting down others.

Treating Rosacea Dr. Timmothy Jochen; Make-up tips for a 50 year old woman with rosacea?

Question by Me: Make-up tips for a 50 year old woman with rosacea?
My 50 year old mom wears no make up whatsoever. Apparently she didn’t find anything decent when she was younger. Also, she has rosacea. Currently, I use Physician’s Formula make- up products, and I think they could possibly work well for her too. But since I’m only 14 and she’s 50, there’s a difference in what works. Any tips to help her find something?

It can’t be anything expensive; just something cheap and simple that can be found like a drugstore or other such place.

50 year olds should wear makup
maybe foundation
but the whole eye stuff looks bad with the wrinkled eyes you might as well not put it on them
