Question by Tongue tied: What is the best powdered multi vitamin, and what is the best powdered multi antioxidant (2 questions)? ?
I’ve found good vitamins and good antioxidants but I’m having trouble finding them in powdered form. I need recommendations. Also interested in powdered gingko, omega3, and gensing. Please keep answers dealing with diet or pills being a better delivery system.

Most supplements aren’t available in a scoop-able powder because powders tend to be more inconvenient and don’t mix the best… it’s much more convenient to get a capsule/softgel that you swallow or get a liquid/tincture (although those are typically designed for those who have trouble swallowing a pill).
Ultimately, a capsule, softgel, powder, or liquid will all be absorbed within similar rates (the capsules and softgels taking only an extra minute or two for your stomach to break through that thin gelatin shell). If you specifically need a powder for any given reason, you could always buy a capsule of the herb, open up the capsule, and pour out the powder… but if you have trouble swallowing pills, I would just buy a liquid form of that particular herb. If you are just concerned about absorption, anything other than a tablet would be very well absorbed.

With all that being said, the Omega-3 will only really be available in a liquid or a softgel form… any powdered forms will have very low levels of Omega-3 fatty acids by comparison. The herbs can easily be dried and ground up, but some nutrients are naturally in a liquid state like that.

In regards to the best brand of any given product, truth be told, any answer given here will just be personal opinion (I can give you my opinion if you’d like). There are many higher quality companies out there that are readily available and well priced… just make sure the company has a good rating with either the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or USP (U.S. Pharmacopoeia), as those are the main quality assurance organizations (USP is for the U.S., GMP is for the U.S. and worldwide). As long as they have a good quality rating the contents inside will be virtually identical (although different multivitamins may have minor tweaks). Good luck and I hope I helped!
