I get it in a tube because I don’t like the idea of sticking my dirty finger in a pot. I get cold sores on and inside my nose (gross). I have used herpecin, but carmex seems to work faster. Also, since I have gotten older and my lips and around my mouth more dry, I like the menthol or camphour it has because of the soothing effect it gives off. Plus, it’s cheap! I also use it around my nose as well if it feels irritated. I also take evening primrose oil due to my health issues. But it really helps to keep my skin clear. I will double up on it when I get a cold sore and it seems to reduce the duration of it.
