Question by Third_Eye_Dude: How do you get rid of puppy acne?
My pit bull mix is about 9 months old. He started to develop acne about a month ago and it seems to be getting worse around his chin and lips. It doesn’t seem to bother him too much right now but I’m worried because it’s not going away. Does anyone know any at home remedies to get rid of puppy acne?

let me guess… plastic food bowl?
Plastic bowls tend to harbor bacteria which causes the facial acne on some dogs.. some dogs also have a mild allergy to the plastic which irritates it furthur.
Switch to stainless steel bowls.. and wash bowls daily with dish soap and warm water.
As well as switching bowls.. use a clean, warm wet wash cloth after he eats to gently remove food from his face. You can wash once a day with a mild puppy shampoo as well to clean away any bacteria. Do not pick at the pimples, overwash, or use products made for acne.. this can irritate the skin further and cause more breakouts.
If it does not appear to be clearing up after a few weeks, consult your vet.
