Question by Ximena: How long does it take for hair to grow back after psoriasis treatment?
I have scalp psoriasis. My case was not that bad though, I’ve been taking some special shampoos and hair oil for over a week. And it’s working really well, it’s almost gone. But I’ve lost some hair before the treatment and I’ve heard from SO many people that the hair would grow back when your scalp is back to normal. So how long would it take for the hair to grow back ?

Well, the truth about scalp psoriasis is that it doesn’t have any direct relations with hair loss. So, if you are experiencing this problem, it’s from another cause.

Usually, these causes of hair loss on scalp psoriasis treatment are stress, scales removed too forcefully, frequent scratching or a too harsh treatment.

To prevent you hair loss and thus increase hair growth after your treatment, you can take some cares: try alternating shampoos, use conditioner, let hair air dry and keep your nails short.

With these cares, I’m almost sure that your hair will start or continue to grow normally. Hairs usually grow 1cm per month, so you don’t have to worry about it if you are preventing these damages I described above.
