Question by Myspace Freak: If Antioxidant-rich mushrooms can help protect you from cancer and viruses, can it actually prevent cancer?

There are plenty of vegetables other than mushrooms that are rich in antioxidants. Red wine and tea are also good sources. Mushrooms are also rich in folate.

Answering your question, prevent and protect are almost the same thing and no I don’t believe that a healthy diet alone will prevent you from dove loping cancer. I think it certainly goes along way in decreasing your chances of dove loping cancer but things such as excersise, not smoking and genetics also play a role.

Botox is Botulinum toxin, a neurotoxin protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It is one of the most poisonous naturally occurring substances in the world, and it is the most toxic protein. Though it is highly toxic, it is used in minute doses both to treat painful muscle spasms, and as a cosmetic treatment in some parts of the world. It is sold commercially under the brand names Myobloc, Botox and Dysport for this purpose. The terms Myobloc, Botox and Dysport are trade names and are not used generically to describe the neurotoxins produced by the clostridia species.

Botulinum toxin causes paralysis by preventing neuro-secretory vesicles from docking/fusing with the nerve synapse plasma membrane and releasing their neurotransmitters.
