Question by volleyball chick: How to heal a scab on my lip from a cold sore?
about a week ago i got a cold sore on my upper lip.. and the cold sore is gone, but it is still healing. The scab from my cold sore fell off, but it wasn’t ready, so it scabbed again, and i really want it gone by tomorrow.. is there anything i can do to make it go away?

Sorry, no there isnt, if it falls off it may still not be ready. I got one last tuesday and mine is almost gone excepts for a light scab-not one of those ones that still look like a huge bump of a cold sore. For the next one I recomend getting Zilactin-it was 6.99 in canada-the red and white one…..and it burns because it is alcohol. but it dries it up fast, but ur lips can get very dry and gross too. dont put salve on it for a few days other wise it just softens it up and its still gross. I did that accidentally this time. I want mine gone by tomorrow as well, as I have a concert I want to be at veery badly while not looking like im herpes infested. keep it dry right now for sure, you could try picking it off tomorrow, it may be closer to being ok to being gone.

A neighbors dog got on me about 10 days ago. I’m missing 3 chunks out my arm. I’ve gotten alot of puss out of the little one and some puss out of the larger ones. Nothing green though. They are all really swollen and I drain them about twice a day. Please help, no money to go to the doctor.

Sorry to hear about that! well… you should write to your doctor and he/she might make an appointment. If you wait too long or don’t think it will work, visit the local chemist and ask them about creams you can buy. the best thing to do is keep it clean and wear a bandage until the wound repairs itself. Remember to soak it with warm water and clean it morning and night!
