Question by : Eczema?????????????????
my baby who is 51/2 months was diagnosed with seborrheic eczema on the face and was perscirbed hydro cortisone cream the thing is the patches on his face were not red itching or raised it was just in some area of his face was become discolored(lighter than his normal skin) mostly around the mouth, cheeks and chin area i used the cortisone cream as prescribed and it cause the area to become more discolored i stopped using the cream and when checked up found it contains steroid which can thin out the skin went to the derm. told him what happened and that i was not interested in those types of creams he prescribed me datacort and when i read it has cortisone 1% in it so now his ped & derm has perscribbed me with cortisone creams. I started using cetaphil mixed with sheabutter and coconut oil to moisture his skin and there is slight improvement in the colour tone of his skin is there anything else i can use to help with the discoloration and does it sound like seborrheic ezcema as it does not irritate him some one suggested nizoral and use aloe vera gel to help with the discoloration as i have an aloe plant.ye he also has cradel cap but it looks like dandruff white dry scalp please helpppppppppppppp.

I was going to suggest Coconut oil but I see that you are already using it or is it mixed in with the Cetaphil? If not go down to your organic food store and purchase you a jar of Raw natural coconut oil and just use that it works wonders… I used it on my nephew who had a bad case of eczema on his face as a new born and it went away and didn’t return for months, so I purchased a jar of it for my brother and he uses it daily.
