Question by Michael: Do the majority of Korean women have had at least one sort of cosmetic surgery?
My friend told me that 80% of Korean women (especially teenage to college aged girls) have had at least some minor cosmetic surgery, the majority of them opt to take the double eyelid procedure which makes girls have double eyelids as a large portion of Asian women have only single eyelids. Lip and cheek procedures are also not uncommon.
Is this true?

The ugly truth, the answer is Yes.
Most korean women nowadays have had at least some minor cosmetic surgery, maybe about 70%?
Especially double eyelid which makes their eyes even prettier. But it doesn’t mean that every korean women you see with double eyelids have had a surgery before, they might be mix-blood etc. Pure korean women doesn’t have any eyelid though.
It’s also very cheap for cosmetic surgery in Korea, and lots of offer and promotion everywhere you go. On the street, parking lots, housing area etc. This is the reason why nowadays korean women feel like it’s a common thing and compulsory for them to have a surgery at least once.
In the other hand, korean skin ages slower than other people skins. My teacher who’s 50 years old still look like she’s in his early 40′s . Their skin tones are really pretty! It’s white, but not the normal white, not so pale. Very nice to see. =)
