Question by cliff: what is collagen? is it a type of cell? or is it a type of substance associated with cells?
and do we have collagen cells, just like we have muscle cells and bone cells?
also, is there such a thing as a protein cell? or is protein a substance which cells are partly made of?

Collagen is a fibrous protein which is found in tendons. It has three polypeptide chains and these three twist around each other like a rope.
